NHR Tax Regime

NIF Number

How long does a removal from the UK to Portugal take?
Portugal is approximately a three-day drive from the UK, travelling through France and Spain. We collect on day one, drive through France on day two with an overnight stop, cross into Portugal and deliver on day three. Algarve deliveries may take a little longer than Lisbon.
What customs paperwork is needed for Portugal?
You need a UK export declaration and a Portuguese customs import declaration (DAU). If you qualify for the "transferência de residência" duty-free exemption — having owned items 6+ months and establishing permanent Portuguese residency — your goods can typically be imported without duty or VAT.
Can you ship to Madeira or the Azores?
Yes, though these are separate freight arrangements. We transport your goods to a UK or mainland Portuguese port, then coordinate specialist sea freight to the islands. Timescales and costs are different from a mainland move — please ask for a specific quote.
Is it better to sell white goods in the UK and buy new in Portugal?
